“A sound investment! I had researched a number of firms offering assistance to help secure CHC funding for our Mum. I was very glad I chose Farley Dwek. Both my brother and I are retired solicitors and are able plough our way through regulatory material and legislation, However, neither of us had any experience in this area of law. I really appreciated Farley Dwek’s transparent and sensible advice. I would recommend doing the initial screening exercise with one of their nurses, we had the excellent Diane Jenkins for screening (and eventual support at the MDT). The cost for us was reasonable, around £300 if I recall, and could ultimately save you money if the advice is not too proceed. Another benefit of participating in the screening exercise is that it allows you to become more familiar with the 12 domains before you actually participate in the MDT. We were successful in securing CHC funding for Mum but sadly for us she passed away 8 weeks after the MDT. We don’t regret instructing Farley Dwek and despite Mums passing away so soon. Yes, it is expensive (what isn’t these days), but compared to other companies out there, I am so glad I held off and did some research and went with you. The fact other companies take many thousands of pounds up front without doing any research on the patient, and without seeing if there is a shred of a chance of success, I find really poor practice, and FD’s approach of paying as you go, thus allowing the customer to take solid advice on whether it is worth proceeding is plain sensible. So, I believe FD represent Value for Money. I think this modus operandi is one of the key components to your business for CHC advocacy from the initial Nurse call to see realistically if it is worth moving forward. Diane is an amazingly compassionate and thorough professional who really is an expert in this field. Her knowledge of all the clinical, well-being and care requirements of my Dad was apparent throughout, and her interjections in the meeting with the NHS representative clearly showed them that Diane was indeed a great asset for my Dad’s cause, and quite frankly, my brother and myself would have been lost in that meeting without her, as it was very daunting for us. She has an amazing amount of empathy and understanding, clearly handled the NHS and Social care people with professionalism, and showed myself kindness and patience, as this has been an horrific battle, and it is easy to lose sight that behind all of this it is about getting the best for my Dad.
